Martina is a Czech artist living and working in Prague. Her relationship with art began at an early age, when she was fascinated by the play of lines, shapes, and ink portrait studies. Although her life path led her for many years into the corporate world within IT and telecommunications, her artistic impulse never disappeared.
After years of exploration, she returned to painting—first quietly, and later with growing confidence, which laid the foundation for her professional artistic career.
Today, she focuses on abstract painting, combining spontaneous gestures, sensitive handling of color, and layered canvas textures. Her work naturally aligns with abstract expressionism, yet bears a distinct personal style rooted in intuition, emotion, and inner rhythm.
She allows her compositions to emerge spontaneously—the initial vision transforms during the process, and the painting takes on a life of its own. Music, the immediate atmosphere, and sensory impulses permeate each layer of color, giving the works their characteristic energy and depth.
Martina creates paintings that are not literal narratives but an open book. They are an invitation into a world of emotions, memories, and sensations. Each glance reveals new impressions, figures, or forms, making the painting an endless source of stories for the viewer’s imagination.
